This month's Cloud 9 Colour of the Month pairs three Interference shimmer inks - Pumpkin Spice, Lavender Fields and Magic Garden - chosen for their built-in duochrome shift between warm and cool tones. Each pad carries two colours in one application, blending on paper the way the swatch card shows them side by side. Together the trio reads as Halloween without relying on plain orange and black, and holds up equally well outside October.

Why It Works for Halloween and Beyond

The three shifts move between pumpkin orange, witch's-garden green and twilight purple, giving Halloween projects a palette beyond the usual black-and-orange without losing the seasonal read. The same three pads carry over cleanly into autumn wreaths, spring garden themes and moody mixed-media backgrounds once October ends.

How to Use

•     Blend both tones directly onto white or kraft cardstock for a hand-painted gradient background.

•     Stamp with clean-line or silhouette stamps and let the shimmer carry the detail.

•     Apply through stencils for soft, cloud-like backgrounds - a nod to the Cloud 9 name.

•     Layer with black or white embossing powder for a high-contrast spooky finish.

•     Use all three together for a cohesive set of Colour of the Month projects.
