Join our clubWhat is Resin Cast?
Our Resin Cast is perfect for creative casting projects, and it differs from other resin products in many ways. Resin is usually epoxy-based, but our formula is completely unique. It consists of acrylic copolymer and plaster - making it particularly good for craft projects:
- Resin Cast is easy and safe to work with. It’s a non-toxic acrylic resin that you can easily process in combination with water.
- It cures exceptionally hard, resulting in more durable creations - especially compared to ordinary plaster casts.
- It's quick to get started. Simply mix the powder with water and you're good to go. No hassle mixing multiple parts.
- Your creations will have a solid finish and will not be transparent like epoxy-based resin.
Casting material in powder form that lets you create beautiful objects for your home. Mix with water. Hardens at room temperature. Add colour, glitter or terrazzo flakes to create beautiful effects.
About:
Resin Cast is the perfect choice for your creative casting project. Simply mix the powder with water, stir by hand and pour into a silicone mould. To add colour, stir Plus Color Craft Paint (water-based pigment) into the water before combining it with the powder. The mix ratio is 100 g powder to 35 g water and you can add more or less water depending on how thin the casting compound needs to be. Prevent air bubbles by tapping the mould for 2–3 min. Drying time is 90–240 minutes, depending depends on how much water is in the mix. The mixture must cure for 24–48 hours before it is completely hard.
Cast your own decorative trays, candlesticks, dishes and much more. You can also experiment with different effects:.
- Mix the casting compound with hobby paint, for instance, to create a lovely marbling effect
- Make small terrazzo flakes out of dried Resin Cast and mix into the casting compound
- Add leaf gold or glitter to your casting project
