Meet the Lisa Horton Crafts team | Sheryl Abernathy
Hello! I’m Sheryl. I am the mother of two wonderful adult children, and three bonus adult children that I was blessed to inherit when I married. I live in Pickerington, Ohio in the USA.
I believe that we all have a dose of divine creativity within us, and I love helping others to explore their creativity and create lovely cards to put more kindness in the world.
When did you start crafting?
I started crafting in December 2018. A co-worker invited me to a card making class. I had no idea that card making was a thing and never imagined that I could create anything suitable to send to some. Was I ever wrong! I was hooked from the very start.
How did you come across Lisa Horton Crafts for the first time?
In August of 2023 I saw a Facebook Video of Lisa showing a demo of her interference inks. I thought they were the coolest inks I had ever seen. I went to Scrapbook.com to look for them. I found them and decided to order an embossing folder and die set. I had never heard of Lisa Horton Crafts before then, but I love florals and the embossing folder looked very pretty so that’s why I decided to buy the set. I was floored by the beauty, quality and detail of her products.
How long have you been part of the LHC team?
I am one of the newest members of the team. I joined the team in June 2024.
What are your three favourite products from LHC?
Oh boy, this is a tough one…
Let’s see – I would go with the Metallic Inks, All the Floral Embossing folders with coordinating stencils and the Ultimate with all the accessories. I know that’s cheating a little, but I can’t get any narrower. Honestly, I truly do LOVE LOVE LOVE them all.
And your favourite technique?
I’m all about easy and elegant so, simple stenciling is my favorite. I’m also a big fan of Better Press and Hot Foiling.
What are you looking forward in 2025?
Lisa Horton Crafts is on FIRE and deservedly so. The whole world needs to know about her products and once they know, I’m convinced that like me, they will be avid consumers. I am looking forward to being part of the team to help share the word and ideas for using these fabulous products. With just the sneak peek from last week of what new products are on the horizon, my mind is blown! I am so ready to help and share.

I’m just getting my legs back under me after losing my mom at the end of fall last year. I have a blog – www.elegantsentiments.com that has been put on the back burner. I have a You Tube channel - @elegantsentiments and a Facebook page Elegant Sentiments Ltd. I am planning to resume regular posting in all these again by January 20th. Since my mom passed, my posting has been sporadic or not all, I have focused on my craft commitments to LHC.
