Meet the Lisa Horton Crafts team | Paula Pascual

 

Hello! I am Paula, I live between Oundle and Lincoln with my two cats and my partner Daniele. I was born in Zaragoza, Spain and grew up in Mallorca. I moved to the South of England in 2002 and been living in the UK since. I have been working full time in the papercraft industry since 2003, and been designing products since I think 2007. 

When did you start crafting?

Like many of us crafters, it was my family who helped me start my craft journey as a child. First with a candle making set for my birthday (8 or 9 years old) and then it progress to cards when I was in my teens and my grandma suggested I did some embroidery onto card. It was when I was 23 when I started working full time in the paper craft industry when I joined as a sales assistant at shop.


How did you come across Lisa Horton Crafts for the first time?

I remember hearing about the amazing splash that Lisa was making over on Create and Craft and how her clean and simple ranges were very popular. As someone who loves clean and simple, this was brilliant news and I kept admiring her progression over the years.

How long have you been part of the LHC team?

I was invited to be part of it in November 2024, which was perfect timing as the closure of Create and Craft meant I was looking for new chapter.



What are your three favourite products from LHC?
  • Everything to do withe Ultimate 2 specially the Tacky Mat
  • The Inks, ink pads and reinkers, are so much fun!
  • The High Tack glue. An absolute essential, so tacky and quick to grab and PH Neutral.

 

And your favourite technique?

Far too many to count, but die cutting has been a key part of my development as a crafter. Creating cards with die cut pieces has been one of my favourite things to for for many, many years. But thats it just one, I love gilding flakes, inks and so much more.

What are you looking forward in 2025?

 

I am looking forward to all the different products that Lisa Horton and the team are already bringing but even more so, and who knows maybe to continue some more of my product designing for the team!
