Meet the Lisa Horton Crafts team | Claire Newcombe

Hello, I’m Claire, an English girl living in Ireland. I’m mum to two almost grown up boys and totally dote on my little dog Hazel (a shih-tsu/maltese mix) who usually makes herself known during my lives. When I’m not crafting you find me either at the gym 3/4 times a week, or pottering in the garden and watching & feeding the birds & foxes.

I began papercrafting in 2001, but have always crafted ever since I was small - teaching myself tapestry, cross stitch and then progressing to sewing and teaching myself how to use a sewing machine. I would make make own curtains and even patchwork, with my first quilt being a special present for my mums milestone birthday.

I’ve been a fan of Lisa from her days in Creative Expressions, being on her design team there. So when I heard that LHC would be launching I was one of the first in the queue, and have been on the DT from day one (She can’t get rid of me LOL)

My ideal crafting session that takes me to my happy place will always include the Ulti-Mate multi tool, a selection of Lisa’s stencil/blending brushes and Lisa’s Cloud 9 Matt blending inks.

Without question my favourite technique is stencilling and the blending of Lisa’s amazing inks 

In 2025 I am looking forward more of the same to be honest. Each year with Lisa grow bigger and more exciting than the last. Seeing the new designs as they launch is still as exciting as it was at day one, and I’m so honoured to still be part of the best team.

I’m loving being part of the growing community and i really enjoy the chance to teach and encourage everyone to get the most out of Lisa’s designs (it still blows my mind that people tune into my lives each week)
